Nils Berger (AT), CEO & Founder Viewpointsystem
Experienced founder and entrepreneur with a proven track record in information services, technology consultancy and automation industries. Nils’ deep tech company Viewpointsystem has invented the award-winning “Digital Iris” technology which uses the eyes as HMI. Making eye tracking applicable for mixed reality, DI creates an intuitive connection between man and machine.

15:15 – 15:25 Deep Dive #2 – Enhancing XR Training with Digital Neuropsychology
Julia Kern (AT), Co-CEO Somareality
At SOMAREALITY, we transform neuropsychology by leveraging eye tracking data to gain comprehensive brain insights and unlock human potential.
We currently apply our technology in selected B2B use cases and promising research partnerships.

15:25 – 15:35 Digital Health Students Pitches – Part II (5 min each)

  • TheraNote –  Streamlined & EHR-Compliant Documentation for Physiotherapists in Austria Susi Mustermann, Max Mustermann +Team: Susi Mustermann, Max Mustermann, St Pölten UAS TheraNote tackles fragmented physiotherapy records by seamlessly integrating with Austria’s ELGA system. We propose a standardized ELGA schema for flexible and thorough documentation. An embedded application streamlines documentation within ELGA, fostering consistent, traceable records for improved patient care and data accessibility.

15:35 – 15:45 Deep Dive #3 – Personalising Immersive Digital Therapies by Modelling AI-based Fear Responses
Frank Scharnowski (AT), Professor at Institute for Psychology and Cognition, University of Vienna
Frank truly believes in interdisciplinary research. He studied Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, Mathematics & Computer Science, Cognitive Neuroscience as well as Psychology, and worked at Life Science, Bioengineering, Medical and Psychological Faculties. He develops new methods to better understand psychological and neuroscientific phenomena (perception, attention, memory, emotion, reward). Current methods include brain imaging, neurofeedback, computational modeling, TMS and psychophysics. One of his key goals is to translate these new methods and insights into experimental therapies for burdening psychiatric (addiction, depression, anxiety, PTSD, phobias, Alzheimer’s) and neurological (stroke, neglect, blindsight) disorders.

15:45 – 15:55 Deep Dive #4 – Investigating User Acceptance of Spatial Computing for Person-Centred Care
Matei Capatu (AT), Scientific Associate Academy for Ageing Research at Haus der Barmherzigkeit & Michael Kaindleinsberger (AT), Arbeiter Samariterbund Upper Austria & Linz
KI-driven appliances such as vaccum cleaner robots are becoming widespread in households but could do so much more than just cleaning our floors. They could detect potential falls and call for help in an emergency. This is possible by a large array of sensors and a rich computing power. In combination with  voice assistants and LLM-based chatbots they could form the basis for autonomous #care #companions. This talk investigates the first user experiences from the “Smart Companion” field tests in several apartments of senior residents.

15:55 – 16:45 Inspiration Chat by Digital Makers Hub: The Chatbot Will See You Now – Real World Caretaking Or Virtual Reality Treatment? Discussion with the panelists Nina Dalker, Nils Berger, George Papagiannakis, and Anca Petre
